While costumes might seem simply like fashion choices, they really help to build the characters and the world, illuminate themes, and help stories move along. Costumes are more than just clothes, they create a visual conversation with the audience and help them discover who these characters are. Costume designers get to create these personalities from the text, breathing life into these fictional individuals, and transforming them into authentic people.
